So the CRAZY LEGO stalking has officially begun!  LOL  The Semi-Annual Toy Clearance at Target is once again under way with many toys and games already being marked 30 – 50% off! This clearance sale is super popular and a great time to stock up your gift closets for birthdays and Christmas.

That being said, I just had to head on down to my local Target to see what I could find!  (Yes, there were lots of other toys and games marked down.  No, I have no idea what they were!  LOL  Sorry!  We’re a LEGO only family here!)

There weren’t too many LEGO sets on clearance, but I did notice a few!

I didn’t jot down all the prices, but the clearance mark down on LEGOs right now is just 15%.  You can check the prices online for a price comparison.  I didn’t make it over to the DUPLO section, but I’m sure they have some sets marked down too.  

Now, as you may know, I am somewhat of a LEGO expert.  My boy eats, breathes, and sleeps all things LEGO.  All day.  E’ery day.  No joke.  So, here’s my ‘buy’ advice:

• The deals right now are not that great.  15% is a nice sale price, but not a huge discount.
• The clearance price on the LEGOs will only go to 50%, and most sets will sell out at 30%.
• Chances are many of the sets being clearanced will be retired soon, so it is best to buy what you are hunting for early before the set sells out.
• ‘Retired’ LEGO sets are SUPER CRAZY EXPENSIVE if you are looking for sets on ebay or elsewhere and you have to factor in ridiculous shipping costs.  But if you have a LEGO collector at home, you know the lengths you will go to to find a favorite set or to complete a series.  *sigh*
• My “buy it now” percentage is 30%.  That is a deep enough discount for me, much better than I could get on an everyday sale, and definitely better than getting ripped off on ebay!  I will, of course, go back at 50% and see what may be left over…..usually it’s bare bones picking by then!
• Many of these sets will end up on ebay!  Buy them cheap and directly from the source while you can!  😉
