So, there is a video trending on Facebook right now showing how one of those “tell me again why this family is famous?” girls eats a KitKat candy bar.
I was intrigued and took a peek and to my surprise that is exactly how I eat a KitKat! (yes, the OCD feeling of not being the only weirdo that eats something a ‘weird’ way could not be overshadowed by the fact that I was identifying with one of those “tell me again why this family is famous?” girls! 😉 ) First you break off a single stick, then bite off all of the milk chocolate all around the edges, and then peel apart the wafers and eat those one by one.
I go the same route with a Snickers bar (milk chocolate, peanut butter nougat, then peanut caramel goodness). And, um Reese’s peanut butter cups too. Oh, and Twix bars. Basically any candy bar that has really good strata to it.
I’m not really sure when I became incapable of eating a candy bar straight from the wrapper. *shudder* All I know is that it tastes oh so much better when you break a candy bar down to its core elements and savor each flavor and texture individually. There is no “melting pot” in the candy bar world people. All candy components must stand out and be saluted for the amazingness that they are. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go bite off the caramel from a couple Twix bars!
So tell me…..Do you have any candy bar quirks? Are you like Mr. Pitt with a knife and fork? M&M’s with a spoon? <—- This is an awesome way to eat M&M’s by the way.
