If you have a 4th grader in the family, you can enjoy free access to all national parks, lands, and waterways this school year!
Who is eligible: All U.S. fourth-grade (or home-school equivalent) students can register for a FREE “Every Kid in a Park” pass that’s good for free admission to all of America’s federal lands and waters — for them and their families — for a full year.
How it works: If you are visiting a site that charges a per person entrance fee, the pass will admit all children under the age of 16 and up to three adults. For sites that charge a vehicle entrance fee, the pass will admit all children under the age of 16 and all adults in one passenger vehicle.
The free annual pass is valued at $80, and includes admission to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites, including Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Grand Canyon national parks. The pass expires August 31, 2017.
To get a pass: Go here and click on “Get Your Pass” and then click on “Fourth Graders” play. Have your child complete the easy online activity and print out the pass. You can trade the printed pass for a permanent plastic pass as well.
