Guess what we just got this morning?!  The first snow of the season!  Guess what we did not pack for this trip?!  The first snow of the season!  *sigh* Last year we packed snow pants, snow boots, wool socks, warm snow jackets, mittens, and hats……and NO SNOW! Nary a flake in the sky until the day we left for home!  Typical. 

This year we debated for days about what type of gear to bring (and not wanting to sacrifice any precious luggage space) we opted to bring nothing and chance it. Although, somehow The Boy’s snow pants made it into the car seat bag.  

It is finally freezing enough tonight for the snow to be sticking to the ground, which means tomorrow is a SNOW DAY!  ✳ ⛄  I don’t think we are going to invest in purchasing any gear here for the few days we have left for this trip (I can get much better quality and deals back home in the States), but we’ll bundle up as best we can and make our snow people!

Last winter I grabbed some of these Carhartt Men’s Acrylic Watch Hats and gave them to the boys for Christmas, (Yes, my seven year old is wearing an adult size hat!) and I am SO glad I thought enough to pack them! These hats are the perfect size to keep kiddos’ ears warm and cozy in the chill outside and I especially love how well they have held up! 

There are tons of colors to choose from too!  I like the bright colors for The Boy though as it makes the hats so much easier to find!  LOL Amazon has these on sale for just $7.99 and I think I may grab a couple more to cover laundry loads and such.  And maybe the port or heather grey one for me too.  Okay, probably both.
