I am getting SO excited y’all! Aldi is finally coming out west to California with plans of opening 45 stores in Southern California (in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties) by July 2016. After years of hearing folks rave about saving at Aldi, I am starting to feel like a kid at Christmas waiting for this!
The store in our small town is located just minutes away from where we live and it is nearly complete! YIP-A-DEE-DOO! Now, I generally do all of our weekly shopping at Winco (which is also nearby and the prices are great) or I head to the city to hit up Costco. But, I have to say, all the Aldi hype (and the outrageous prices on everything here in SoCal!) have got me really looking forward to this new market!
We have Aldi stores back home in Hungary (and a similar store, Lidl, in Transylvania) but we have never shopped there as we prefer the larger Kaufland stores.
So, tell me Aldi shoppers – Why do you love shopping Aldi? What tips do you have for a first-time shopper? Best deals? Best products? Best times to shop? Items to avoid? Do they have coupons or other store discounts?

Aldis– is the best place to shop!! Prices, quality on fresh fruit and veggies!! Laundry soap, dish soap & toilet paper! I do all my shopping there even feminine products also lol
