We’re making our Gingerbread Cookie Christmas Tree today!
I have to admit, I am not big on the whole “make Christmas cookies with your kids” tradition. It’s just not my thing. We didn’t grow up doing it. I have major control issues when it comes to messes in the kitchen. Okay, messes period. So, it’s just not a fun memory-making kinda thing. (bah-humbug and all that, I know.)
But, a few years ago I grabbed this Wilton Gingerbread Cookie Tree Cutter Set and several bags of this Betty Crocker Gingerbread Cookie Mix and The Boy and I had the best time making a Cookie Tree together!
The cookie mix came together very quickly and easily (with minimal mess!) and it was a lot of fun rolling and cutting out the dough. This project takes several bags of cookie mix (3 if I remember correctly) and a couple tubs of frosting.
So many fun memories! And The Boy asks every year to make this tree with me again!
Here’s a tip: This amazing cookie mix is seasonal, so if you try it out and like it, grab a bunch when it goes on clearance after Christmas for gingerbread cravings later in the year or for next year’s Christmas Cookie Tree!
Amazon has this Wilton Set of 6 Nesting Star Cutters priced at just $4.74 right now – and it will arrive before Christmas! Walmart also has it in stock for just $2.72!
