If you’re looking for a fun new way to beat the heat this summer and keep the kiddos entertained on a budget this is a great offer!

Many bowling centers across the country are offering kids 2 FREE games of bowling every day, all summer long (a $500 value)! Registration forms are being accepted now at many bowling centers (as the spring sessions open), or you can opt to be notified when registration opens at your local center (all centers should be open for registration by May 1st.).

Note that days/hours of availability and age limits vary by center.  Shoe rental is also not included.

How to sign up:

• Go to KidsBowlFree.com
• Choose your state.
• Select a bowling center near you. (If you don’t have a participating center nearby, you can fill out this online form to suggest a local center. The KidsBowlFree folks will then contact the operators of that center and try to get them on the list of participating centers.)
• You will then register your child(ren) directly on the bowling center’s page. (Note: Registration is valid only at the bowling center where you register and cannot be used at any other bowling center unless otherwise noted.)
• After your registration is complete, you will be offered the chance to purchase a family pass that allows for up to 4 adult family members to enjoy 2 games of bowling with the kiddos. The price of the family pass is $29.95. (Tip: I was sent an email from the center where I registered for a “limited time deal” at 10% off if I purchased in the next two days. I declined the offer, and a few days later was sent another offer from KidsBowlFree for 10% off. So, there are discounts available!)

Shoe rental is not included in the registration or with the family pass, and most centers charge about $3 to $5 per person for shoe rental. Many bowling centers do offer a rental pass for anywhere between $10 and $20, so do be sure to call and ask about any shoe discounts available!

Otherwise, you might start looking for a cheaper option with hand-me-downs from friends, yard sales, thrift stores (see my tips on How to Save at Thrift Stores), or consignment shops.
